研究内容	My research will be focused on understanding the public stigma that female ex-convicts face in the city of Muntinlupa, located in the Philippines. There is a specific interest in the city as one of the biggest jails in the country is located within its territory, and the government has pushed for my policies towards community reintegration directed towards inmates. However, an unexplored area of community reintegration is the stigma associated with being an ex-convict and how it impacts their life post-imprisonment with their relationship to their community. This is the research gap that my thesis will answer. This grant will cover the cost of my travel expenses abroad as I travel back home to the Philippines. I have limited my expenses as I will be staying in my family home for the duration of my three-week stay. It will also cover the cost of my expenses to attend a conference focusing on sociology and criminology in Tokyo, Japan. This includes my travel expenses as well as my hotel accommodations. Finally, it will also cover some book expenses that I will need for my literature review and methodology which are not available in the university library. This study has been submitted for review by the Research Ethics Committee, and all data gathering will be conducted upon the approval of the Ethics Committee.
