Study group on historical sociology

By reading interdisciplinary books and articles in historical sociology, the group strives to find ways to apply the various methods of historical description appearing there to the particular fields of research the members are engaged in. The content varies depending on the interest of each member, but all of us share one common denominator: the goal of trying to find ways to approach the problems of the “present” via historical descriptions. It should be also noted that by using the term 'historical sociology' in the name, the study group wants to raise the question of why Japan still does not have a historical sociology society.
