We invite Prof. Takehiko Ochiai of Ryukoku University, who is a spirited political scholar.

“'Colonial Madness' and 'Colonial Psychiatry' are two sides of the same coin. And they were also closely related with 'Colonial Struggle' (i.e., dynamics of resistance of those who are ruled) as well as 'Colonial State' and 'Colonialism' (i.e., dynamics of rulers). In this event, we consider African Colonial Madness (psychiatry) and how psychiatric medicine should be as a prologue for considering psychiatry in modern Africa.”
